This variety of pear derives its name from the phrase Doyenne du Comice, meaning 'Top of the show', as they are often celebrated as the best pear variety. Originating in France, the fragrance is rich, juicy and meltingly smooth. 

*Remember to trim your wooden wick to around 2mm every time before lighting and allow the wax to melt to the edge of the glass before putting out the flame. If your flame is too large, extinguish immediately and trim the wick once the wax is cool.
