Caring for your products

Introduction

Proper care and maintenance are essential to enjoy your wax melts, candles, and reed diffusers to their fullest potential. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your home fragrance products.

Caring for Wax Melts

  • Use a well-maintained warmer: Ensure your wax melt warmer is clean and in good condition to prevent overheating or poor scent throw.
  • Don't overheat: Wax melts should not be heated for more than 4-6 hours at a time. Prolonged heating can cause the fragrance to fade faster.
  • Store properly: Keep wax melts in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their fragrance and color.

Caring for Candles

  • Trim wicks regularly: Keep candle wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch to ensure even burning and prevent excessive flame height.
  • Burn for the right amount of time: First burn should be long enough to create a melt pool to the edges of the candle. Subsequent burns should be 2-3 hours to prevent overheating.
  • Store in a cool, dry place: Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources which can cause melting or discoloration.

Caring for Reed Diffusers

  • Flip reeds regularly: For optimal fragrance, flip the reeds every 1-2 weeks to expose new surfaces to the essential oil.
  • Keep away from drafts: Direct airflow can cause the fragrance to dissipate too quickly.
  • Monitor liquid levels: Replace the diffuser when the liquid is low (usually after 6-8 weeks) to maintain consistent fragrance.

General Tips

  • Keep all products away from children and pets.
  • Follow manufacturer instructions for specific care recommendations.
  • Experiment with different placement locations in your home to find the best spot for optimal fragrance distribution.
